Robert Janssen, a United States citizen raised in United States and Brazil, graduated in International Business and Information Systems from San Diego State University, began his career in the information technology sector in 1986. Robert is the CEO of Outsource Brazil since 2007, an international business development advisory and startup accelerator, focused in providing tailored intelligence and execution, for companies and startups wanting to establish profitable business and forge alliances to penetrate international markets. He has extensive experience in international business, and great understanding how the cultural differences influence the business environment and have an impact on the desired outcome. He currently leads Outsource Brazil’s accelerator business unit, in both, Brazil and United States, which is part of the Startup Brasil program sponsored by the Federal Government. He also holds a seat in the Steering Committee for Rio’s state government entrepreneurship foster program, Startup Rio. Robert was recently appointed International Relations Vice President of the largest IT Association in Brazil, Assespro, responsible for innovation, internationalization and investments and in 2015 was nominated one of the top 50 most influential IT Executives in the US Mid Market. He is a Senior Advisor to the Brazilian government’s IT industry and has helped several Brazilian IT companies grow their business and develop successful strategies to penetrate different markets around the globe. He is responsible for providing strategic guidance for building multi sourcing strategies for several international organizations seeking to establish a footprint in United States, England, India and South Africa. Robert brings a different perspective to planning and developing growth strategies for startups and established companies seeking to enter international markets, because of his diverse multi cultural experience and a keen understanding how it affects business outcome. He is a highly sought speaker for his wide strong vision and thought leadership combined with a varied business experience, having delivered over 300 presentations around the 5 continents.
